Chocolate-Covered Nut Crunch Bars
Ingredients:
- 1 cup mixed nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, or peanuts β chopped)
- 1 cup puffed rice or crushed cornflakes
- 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 tbsp butter (or coconut oil)
- 100 g milk or dark chocolate (for the nut mixture)
- 200 g dark chocolate (for coating)
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions:
- Toast the nuts (optional):
- In a dry pan, toast the chopped nuts over medium heat for about 3β4 minutes until fragrant. Set aside.
- Prepare the base mixture:
- In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter, honey, and 100 g of chocolate together over low heat. Stir until smooth.
- Add the chopped nuts, puffed rice (or cornflakes), vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
- Shape the bars:
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Pour the mixture onto it and flatten evenly (about 1.5 cm thick).

- Coat with chocolate:
- Melt the remaining 200 g dark chocolate.
- Dip each bar into the melted chocolate, ensuring full coverage.
